This is an easy waffle recipe which you can definitely implement in your daily life. What is the difference between classical and Belgian waffles you ask? They are similar, but Belgian waffles have deeper pockets and are airy inside. So let’s try this tasty recipe.
- 290 g (2 1/4 Cups) all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs (separated)
- 100 g vegetable oil
- 450 ml (2 cups) milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat waffle iron, spray it with non-stick cooking spray (or pour a bit plain vegetable oil) and set aside.
In a bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt.
In another bowl whisk the egg whites with a hand mixer until holds the form.
In a separate bowl also mix the yolks, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients mix to the egg yolk mixture and mix it well.
Add in the egg whites.
Pour the mixture onto your hot waffle iron and cook it for several minutes (depends on waffle iron)
Serve it with butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar or fresh berries or fruits.
